This year’s Independence Day theme is ‘Viksit Bharat,’ reflecting the government’s goal of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. To mark the 78th Independence Day, the government launched the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, encouraging citizens to display the tricolor flag at home.
On August 15, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lead the flag-raising ceremony at the Red Fort in Old Delhi, followed by the Independence Day parade. He will also deliver a speech from the Red Fort to kick off the nationwide celebrations.
