In Vinesh Phogat’s case now postponed yet again, with a new deadline ..

The announcement of the Court of Arbitration for Sport’s (CAS) verdict in Vinesh Phogat’s case has been delayed for the third time. The new deadline now set for August 16. Initially, the verdict was expected to be released on August 14 at 9:30 pm IST, but the decision has been postponed by two days, and no official reasons have been provided for this delay. Vinesh Phogat, in her appeal, has requested to be awarded a joint silver medal alongside Cuban wrestler Yusneylis Guzman Lopez, who advanced to the final after Vinesh was disqualified in the semifinals. Vinesh’s legal team includes French lawyers Joelle Monlouis, Estelle Ivanova, Habbine Estelle Kim, and Charles Amson, who have been provided by the Paris Bar and are representing her pro bono. Additionally, senior counsels Harish Salve and Vidushpat Singhania are also assisting in the case. The country, along with Vinesh Phogat, continues to wait as the final decision from CAS remains pending.
